Teaching GCSE Mathematics 2016/17

Posted: 15/04/2016

We are pleased to announce that the popular Teaching GCSE Mathematics (TGM) will run once again in 2016/17. TGM offers a year of support and inspiration for those new to teaching secondary mathematics, starting September/October 2016 in venues around the country.

TGM is designed for teachers wanting to develop their subject knowledge and classroom pedagogy in order to improve the teaching and learning of mathematics up to Key Stage 4. Participants include those on school-based teacher training routes, newly and recently qualified teachers, those returning to the classroom, and experienced teachers of other subjects now looking to teach mathematics.

The course includes:

  • Five face-to-face study days spread across the academic year.
  • Regular live online sessions, delivered by an expert tutor, giving inspirational ideas for teaching mathematics and improving the mathematical thinking skills of students.
  • Two years’ exclusive access to teaching and learning resources specifically created to support participants in their classrooms.

As an independent charity, our not-for-profit pricing enables us to deliver this course for just £500 per delegate.

Please visit mei.org.uk/TGM for further details about the course, venues offered for 2016-17, and to register online. If you would like to discuss this course further, contact the CPD administration team:
