Role

Chris Saker is a Central Coordinator for the Further Mathematics Support Programme, which is managed by MEI.  He has specific responsibility for Higher Education Liaison within the FMSP.

 

Background

Chris gained a BSc in Mathematics 1997 and completed a PGCE in Primary Education in 1998. He taught in a primary school in Croydon 1998-1999 before returning to University to complete a PhD in Pure Mathematics. Since completing his PhD Chris has been a memeber of staff in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Essex where is currently a Senior Lecturer and Director of Education. In September 2005 Chris became a Further Mathematics Network Manager and the subsequently a FMSP Area Coordinator. In April 2015 Chris joined the FMSP Central Team.
