The Teacher Industrial Placement Scheme (TIPS) is a CPD event that places a Science or Maths teacher in a local Engineering company for a 10 day placement. Through the placement the teacher will gain experience in a variety of areas across the business, supporting their experience of how STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subjects are used in industry.
The scheme has been created in partnership with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and the Institute of Engineering and Technology and is supported by the National Science Learning Centre. Placements are available across England.
