New to teaching A level mathematics summer school

Posted: 23/05/2018

STEM Learning, in conjunction with MEI, is running a four day summer school in York, for teachers new to teaching A level mathematics. The course is offered free of charge as the full fees are covered by a bursary.

The course content will raise teachers' subject pedagogical knowledge in order to improve their teaching skills, thus giving the confidence to teach for understanding and engagement, rather than 'teaching to the test'. The course is designed for teachers who are new to teaching or more experienced teachers of mathematics who are new to teaching A level. The course is appropriate for teachers who have just completed their initial teacher training.

The course runs from 20 - 23 August 2017 at the National STEM Learning Centre in York.
