MEI’s Leaders of Maths in Further Education and Work-based Learning course moves online

MEI’s sustained professional development course, Leaders of Maths in Further Education and Work-based Learning will be delivered online in 2021 and is now open for applications.
Designed for new and aspiring Maths Leads, this course provides you with strategies to improve your performance within your role, and enables you to evaluate and reflect upon your practice.
The course aims to help you to:
- articulate your personal vision of excellent maths teaching, learning, and assessment
- construct an ambitious and coherent curriculum journey for all students, based upon a clear leadership vision
- manage a team in effective planning, resourcing, and assessing that leads to students achieving their potential whilst preventing unnecessary burdens on staff
The course will be delivered over six months through ten live online study sessions that focus on leadership, effective approaches to management, and how to bring about improvement in the teaching, learning, and assessment of maths.
The online sessions begin in February and will run until June 2021. They will take place on Thursday evenings from 7pm-8:30pm. The course fee is £150.
