Staff at Lancaster University are coordinating a UK national poster competition in statistics part of the International Statistics Literacy Project (ISLP). This year's theme is "Agriculture" and the winners in each age category win a £500 prize and will have their posters displayed at the World Statistics Congress in Hong Kong in August 2013. There will also be international prizes, to be announced later.

Posters provide interesting and motivating ways for students to work in teams, investigate real questions using data, use their analytical and graphical skills to interpret statistical results, and develop their written and communication skills to present their findings.
Teachers should register their teams on the ISLP website at http://www.stat.auckland.ac.nz/~iase/islp/competition-second
Student teams should consist of 2-3 people per team and there are two age categories:
Please see this document for poster guidance for teachers.
