An exciting event promoting UK mathematics will take place on Friday 16th January 2015.
The event titled Mathematics: Unlocking Worlds is the Launch of the London Mathematical Society's 150th Anniversary celebrations. This event is not just a celebration of 150 years of the LMS but will showcase UK mathematics and the LMS would like to reach the widest possible audience. To this end the event will be live-streamed as well as posted on the LMS anniversary website so that anyone interested can take a look.
The event is suitable for the entire spectrum of society from secondary school children and their parents, undergraduates, postgraduates and the wider academic community, through to the general public, especially those with a curiosity in mathematics. The talks will be at the level of the Royal Institution public Christmas lectures and through the live streaming will be accessible to all.
