This is a lesson to support Year 7 students in becoming more familiar with some key features of calculators and encourage appropriate and effective use. A PowerPoint to support the activities is also available.
The lesson develops the ideas in the Year 6 Growing Patterns lesson. It contains a series of activities which broaden the range of functions used on the calculator and involve different aspects of mathematical reasoning around the topic of number patterns and generalisations.
