Community Guidelines

Our communities exist to support, inspire, and empower teachers in order to increase participation in maths. We aim to create a safe, respectful, and collaborative space where every member feels valued and included.

1. Core Principles

1.1. Professionalism

  • Communicate respectfully and thoughtfully at all times.
  • Share ideas constructively and avoid personal criticism.

1.2. Inclusivity

  • Welcome teachers of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
  • Use language that is respectful and free from bias or discrimination.

1.3. Collaboration

  • Share resources and knowledge generously.
  • Give credit where it is due and respect intellectual property.

1.4. Confidentiality

  • Do not share private information about students, colleagues, or schools.
  • Protect the privacy of community members.

1.5. Integrity

  • Ensure that discussions and shared materials are accurate and appropriate.
  • Avoid plagiarism and misrepresentation.
  • Do not share copyrighted materials.

2. Expected Behaviours

  • Engage in discussions that promote learning and growth.
  • Ask questions and offer help in a supportive manner.
  • Respect differing opinions and seek common ground.

3. Unacceptable Behaviours

  • Harassment, bullying, or discriminatory remarks.
  • Sharing offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content.
  • Using the platform for self-promotion or commercial purposes without consent.

4. Reporting and Accountability

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct:

  • Report it via our Get in Touch form or to one of your community moderators promptly.
  • Moderators will review and take appropriate action, which may include warnings or removal from the community.

5. Commitment

By participating in this community, you agree to uphold these standards and contribute to a positive, professional environment for all educators.

Failure to comply with our Code of Conduct may result in your participation within the group being restricted or temporarily suspended. Repeat or serious breaches may result in being removed from the group permanently.
