Teaching GCSE Mathematics Extra  

Teaching GCSE Mathematics Extra is only available to teachers who have already complete the Teaching GCSE Mathematics live course.

The sessions will cover different topics that are not covered in our live course. As this is a on demand course with pre-recorded sessions, you will not have live online sessions with a tutor or networking opportunities.  

The course has been designed by experienced maths specialists and has the same high-quality standard as our live courses. The course will give you access to our Integral Learning Platform as well as PowerPoints and Workbooks to supplement the learning.  

This course is designed for teachers who wish to develop both their subject knowledge and classroom practice in maths at GCSE level.  

The course will benefit:  

• New or recently qualified maths teachers looking to continue their professional development.  
• Maths teachers returning to the classroom.  
• Experienced teachers of KS3 maths who wish to learn more about GCSE maths.  
• Teachers wanting to develop their own subject knowledge to enable them to teach foundation tier GCSE maths confidently.  
• Teachers who are already teaching GCSE maths in Key Stage 4 and looking to enhance their teaching.  
• Specialists in another subject who have been asked to teach Year 9, 10 or 11 maths lessons.  

Yes, to sign up for this course, you will have to have completed the Live course (as of 2024). This is due to the course building on the previous learning from the live course and does not sit as a stand-alone course in its own right.  

You will have access to the course material for 1 year via MEI’s Integral learning platform.
