Every year, our work benefits thousands of teachers and students across the UK.
Our resources, professional development, training, and competitions are designed to fulfil our aim that everyone in the country is proficient in maths. Our impact is measured not only by the scale and reach of our work, but by the personal success stories of those who take part.
Impact report 2024-25
We are proud to share a new report which celebrates our impact during the last academic year. Learn more about how our projects have empowered teachers and students to build essential maths skills.

AMSP evaluation
The Advanced Mathematics Support Programme is one of the largest projects we deliver.
In 2020, along with the DfE, we commissioned the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) to evaluate the programme.
In 2025, MEI commissioned the Observatory for Mathematical Education to undertake an external evaluation of the AMSP

mA*ths and Further mA*ths Programme evaluation reports
Programmes in partnership with universities, designed to support students to achieve an A* in A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics have been evaluated by FFT Education Datalab and CfEY. The report found that participating students achieved half a grade higher than their peers.

The FE Maths CPD Programme evaluation
Sheffield Institute of Education Research and Knowledge Exchange at Sheffield Hallam University have evaluated our FE CPD programme. Findings included participation targets being exceeded, and increased confidence of participant teachers.
