Achievement in maths opens doors to exciting careers and serves as a powerful social elevator.
Yet, for too many young people, access to high-quality maths education is determined by where they live or their background—an unfair lottery that limits potential.
We’re committed to changing that. By improving maths education, we can drive social equity and prepare our nation for a future defined by science, technology, and data. But real, lasting change takes time—and sustained investment.
Leaving a legacy gift, no matter the size, helps secure and expand our mission for generations to come. It’s a profound way to ensure that young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, have the opportunities they deserve to succeed.
Different types of legacy
There are a number of different types of legacies that you may wish to consider making:
- A pecuniary legacy allows you to specify a sum of money to give.
- A specific legacy enables you to leave a specific asset such as property, works of art or shares.
- A residuary legacy is a gift of all or part of your estate after other legacies and expenses have been paid.
- A reversionary legacy allows you to leave assets to MEI, whilst giving a named person the benefit of them during his or her lifetime.
Unrestricted gifts provide us with the greatest opportunity to direct your generosity to best effect, but please get in touch if you’d like to discuss making a bequest for a particular purpose.
