Teaching Functional Skills Maths
Overview
Teaching Functional Skills Maths (TFSM) is designed for those teaching Functional Skills Maths in a post-16 setting. The course is run by experienced Functional Skills Maths teachers and will support you to improve your subject knowledge and learn more about the principles of effective pedagogy.
The course consists of 9 sessions. Three live online via Zoom, six on-demand modules via MEI’s learning platform Integral. Participants will explore effective teaching and learning strategies, plan and prepare teaching sessions and develop approaches to engage and stretch students within Functional Skills Maths.
