Navarda Garside

Navarda became a trustee in November 2023, and is one of the link trustees for Further Education.

Navarda is Director of Adult Education at the Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group. His responsibilities include the Maths and English GCSE programmes at the colleges. He has 22 years’ experience of post-16 education ranging from Adult Education, Skills for Life, Cross college English and maths, foundations learning and Special Educational Needs.

He was a member of the Project Advisory Group which advised on the Nuffield-funded MEI work on proposing a new mathematics curriculum for post-16 resit students. He was the post-16 Lead for the North Midlands region for the Centres for Excellence in Maths programme. He has been a school governor.
