COURSE OVERVIEW

Designed for students to consolidate and develop maths skills whilst they spend a year in industry prior to university entry.

What topics are covered?

  1. Matrices (on-screen test to be completed by Sunday, 7 December 2025)
  2. Differentiation (on-screen test to be completed by Sunday, 11 January 2026)
  3. Vectors (on-screen test to be completed by Sunday, 15 February 2026)
  4. Integration (on-screen test to be completed by Sunday, 15 March 2026)
  5. Functions of several variables (on-screen test to be completed by Sunday, 19 April 2026)
  6. Complex numbers (on-screen test to be completed by Sunday, 17 May 2026)
  7. Ordinary differential equations (on-screen test to be completed by Sunday, 14 June 2026)

Students will be supported in their independent study via a forum that is moderated by a tutor. To successfully complete the course, students must complete on-screen tests to be taken by the middle of each month throughout the course. Extensive notes and exercises with worked solutions are provided to prepare for the on-screen tests.

All students who complete the course will be rewarded with a completion certificate.
