At MEI, we know that moving through different stages of maths education can feel challenging for students and their families.
Transition from Primary Mathematics to Secondary Mathematics
Each year, to support students who are transitioning from primary to secondary maths, we run Calculator Crunch.
Calculator Crunch is not just for teachers to use within classrooms, but a great resource for parents and carers to use the challenging activities with their children at home. This fun series of challenges helps children practise key maths skills and build confidence using calculators, preparing them for secondary school maths.

Transition to level 3 Mathematics
We offer a range of support for students to transition to level 3 maths through out Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP)
Explore resources that enable students to be prepared for what is required in level 3 maths and support them through the first term of their Level 3 courses – whether that is A level Mathematics, A level Further Mathematics or Core Maths.

University Admissions Tests
Several selective universities ask students applying to maths-related degree courses to take university admissions tests.
Explore the support and guidance we offer to students thinking of studying mathematics at degree level with our Higher Level Problem Solving programme.

University Mathematics Interview Practice
MEI, in partnership with Magdalen College School, Oxford, are providing interview practice for students from state-funded schools who have been invited for an interview by the University of Oxford or the University of Cambridge.

Maths Course for Year in Industry Participants
MEI is pleased to offer Year in Industry students a course covering selected topics from A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics that are relevant to maths and maths-related courses in higher education.
