This webinar was recorded on 24 May 2021 as part of a series on supporting Key Stage 2 to 3 transition in maths. It is aimed at teachers of pupils in upper Key Stage 2 and 3 and maths leaders.

The focus of this webinar is on securing understanding of Angles across the Key Stage 2 to 3 transition.

In the session we will explore curriculum and pedagogical continuity across the Key Stage 2 to 3 transition and look at the new Primary Maths Guidance Document.

We consider:

  • what it means to understand Angles at Key Stage 2
  • how to build understanding of Angles across Key Stage 2 and 3
  • how representation and language can support understanding of Angles and connect with other areas of the maths curriculum
