The MEI Contextualisation Toolkit

The MEI Contextualisation Toolkit is designed for teaching practitioners involved in planning and delivering post-16 GCSE Mathematics – both specialist maths teaching practitioners and vocational teaching practitioners who wish to embed maths in their delivery. Much of the content is also relevant to Functional Skills Mathematics.

The toolkit supports greater use of contexts in the delivery of post-16 GCSE Mathematics. It suggests how you can develop and use your own contextualised resources and share them with others, and how to adapt and use resources that others have developed.

The toolkit is based on an earlier version that MEI developed with funding from the Department of Education, which has been enhanced and extended with funding from the Education Endowment Foundation and JP Morgan.
