Values

As an organisation, we have strongly held values:

Maths education principles

We believe that maths education should enable students to appreciate both the beauty and the utility of maths, and to enjoy learning it. Pupils should realise that maths is not an ever-growing set of rules to be remembered.  Instead, they should learn that the different aspects of the maths curriculum form a logically connected whole, and that maths is a rewarding and enjoyable subject that they can learn with confidence and make use of now and in the future.

Equality of access

We believe in equality of access. We work to achieve this in a variety of ways, including removing barriers and ensuring access to appropriate maths education relevant to the abilities and aspirations of all students.

Quality and standards

We strive to ensure that all aspects of our work are of the highest standard, meeting or exceeding the expectations of our customers and other stakeholders.

Partnerships and respect

We actively seek to work with others, including key stakeholders, to improve maths education.

We respect others’ views and work by influencing and persuading, and gathering evidence to make a case.
