Overview

Maths Picnic is a fun and engaging challenge for Year 9 students which tests problem-solving and teamwork skills. Teams of three students will test their maths skills with our miscellany of problems. It is similar in format to the Y9 Maths Feast: there are multiple rounds requiring different skills and strategeis.

There are no heats or finals, so participants can take materials back to their schools and use them to enrich learning in the classroom.

Teams must be accompanied by a teacher. Schools entering multiple teams must bring a ratio of one responsible adult per four teams.  There is capacity for schools to bring up to 4 teams of 3.

Calculators and equipment such as rulers and protractors are not permitted - this competition is based on brain power alone!

We are very grateful to Bristol Grammar School for hosting this event at Failand Sports Ground.
