A short course to introduce A level Mathematics students to Data Science is now freely available on the MEI website. Introduction to Data Science consists of eight lessons of short videos and programming tasks in Python. Please note that previous knowledge of Python is not assumed. The course is designed to be studied independently and can be completed in the summer term of Year 12 or over the summer break between Years 12 and 13.

MEI has developed this course with an aim to give students a greater appreciation of the importance of data science to support them in making informed choices about future study or career options. It also provides students with the opportunity to explore the A level Mathematics Large Data Sets in more detail.
