MEI runs competitions and other activities to inspire students to study more mathematics. Some of these are open to employees. For more information please see our student competitions page.
An example of such work is the development of a careers video provided by Man Group to highlight ways in which learning mathematics can lead to a brilliant career. To view the video please see our Careers video, or visit the MEI YouTube channel.
We also encourage employers to engage with maths teachers. For example, we have developed a Maths in Work CPD day that enables employers to show teachers work-related applications of GCSE level maths to help the teachers to add relevance to their lessons. If you are interested in support future events like this, please contact Janice Richards
Please let us know if you have any suggestions for new ways to inspire more people to study more mathematics or if you are interested in supporting our work in this area.
