Primary Maths Subject Leadership Programme
Overview
This series of four interactive twilight sessions is designed for teachers wishing to develop their approach to the maths subject in a primary setting.
Aims
- To reflect on your values and beliefs regarding teaching and learning in primary maths
- To plan for development and improvement in maths in your school
- To consider effective leadership strategies to implement change in the teaching and learning of maths in your school
- To monitor and evaluate the impact of change in maths in your school
Content
The course comprises four 90 minute online sessions including discussion and the sharing of research and good practice to allow subject leaders to reflect on their vision and beliefs and consider how that translates into actions and improvement in school.
- Session 1 – Vision and values
- Session 2 – Planning for change
- Session 3 – Implementing change
- Session 4 – Monitoring and evaluating change
