Applications are now open for Setting Out in Problem Solving – a free online course that equips students with the mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills to excel in A level, thrive at university, and succeed in future maths-related careers.
Programme Overview
This supportive and engaging course focuses on developing problem-solving strategies rather than preparing for any specific test. It’s ideal for Year 12 students who want to explore problem solving and set themselves on a strong path for further study – including those considering courses that may involve admissions tests like STEP, TMUA or MAT. It’s also valuable for any student interested in deepening their mathematical understanding.
Year 13 students are welcome too – especially those who are exploring maths-related university courses and need to prepare quickly. The sessions provide a friendly and encouraging environment to build confidence, strengthen key skills, and approach challenging problems with curiosity.
