Further Education – National Online Events

Overview

Half-termly online sessions for leaders and teachers which explore practical, inclusive strategies to help all students thrive.

Our National Online Events bring Further Education maths teachers, practitioners, managers and leaders together to explore timely, practical topics that follow the rhythm of the FE academic year. Each session is framed around a key student-focused question and offers strategies, resources and real examples to help you support every learner to succeed.

Inclusivity is at the heart of these events. We explore approaches that work across diverse classrooms, recognising and responding to the varied needs of learners, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with SEND, so that every student has the opportunity to progress towards level 2 maths.

Across the year, we’ll cover everything from using diagnostics effectively in the first term, to building motivation through the winter, to preparing students for exams and reflecting on the year’s learning. Sessions draw on national evidence, sector challenges and the experiences of practitioners from across the country.

Each event includes time for networking and peer exchange, giving you the chance to connect with colleagues, share experiences and learn from different approaches in a supportive, inclusive environment.

These events are part of our FE CPD programme, funded through a grant from the Department for Education, meaning there is no cost to attend.
