Teaching GCSE Mathematics: Number, Geometry and Statistics (TGM:NGS) Overview

Our Teaching GCSE Mathematics: Number, Geometry and Statistics (TGM:NGS) course is designed to help you develop your subject knowledge and classroom practice in maths at GCSE level.

Teaching GCSE Mathematics is designed for less experienced teachers who wish to develop both their subject knowledge and classroom practice in maths at GCSE level.

You will have the opportunity to engage in complex questions and concepts common within the classroom. You will discuss strategies and pedagogical approaches for different mathematical topics that will suit students’ needs while considering different ways of thinking about the subject.

The sessions will allow you to collaborate with fellow teachers by working through problems guided by our team of experts. These sessions are ideal for those teaching GCSE maths for the first time or returning after a break as well as those who wish to enhance their teaching.

We also offer a sister course, Teaching GCSE Mathematics: Algebra, Ratio and Probability (TGM: ARP). We do not recommend studying both courses simultaneously. However, the courses can be studied in any order.
