Teaching GCSE Mathematics (TGM) – Online is now open for applications

Posted on in Events, News

If you’re new to teaching GCSE Mathematics – whether you’re currently training, newly qualified, returning to the classroom, or stepping up from KS3 or functional maths – our live online professional development course, Teaching GCSE Mathematics (TGM), has been designed to support you. It’s suitable for teachers from secondary or further education, or a range of sectors where GCSE teaching takes place.

TGM will help you to develop your subject knowledge and classroom practice. Subject areas that will be covered include number, proportional reasoning, geometry, algebra, statistics, and probability. The course will also explore pedagogic themes of building confidence, deepening understanding, and diagnostic teaching (including digital technologies). Participants will be given two years’ access to self-paced learning modules that cover all the main foundation topics, with a focus on strengthening subject knowledge.

The next cohort will be delivered online over ten evening study sessions taking place from April to July 2021.

Registrations for TGM are now open. The course fee is £150.
