Last year we introduced a free ‘Data Science Taught Course’, designed to be studied alongside A level Mathematics or Core Maths. Due to popular demand, the course will be returning in the summer term.

The course will feature weekly online lessons delivered over the summer term, together with supporting study material. There are two options for classes: Monday evenings or Tuesday evenings. The students will be assessed through both a practical task and a short exam in September 2022. Students who complete the course will receive an MEI certificate.

Aims of the course

• To deepen students’ knowledge of the key concepts of data science.

• To improve students’ skills in using technology to gain insights from data.

• To provide an opportunity to learn more about data science for students who are interested in future study/careers in this area.
